Assignment I
I

On the Streets of New York...

Summary: Students should seek inspiration on the streets of New York for the second assignment. The city is filled with characters and
some are just waiting to be animated! Have fun with what you see - styalize and exaggerate!

Keep nbackgrounds and environments, as well as camera movement, to a minimum. Once again, the attention is on the character's performance...

Length: This animation may be no shorter than 8 seconds and no longer then 15 seconds. (Title and credit slates do not count; scenes can be looped or recycled!)

Deadline: The final animation is due at the end of the semester. (The exact date will be announced in class.)

Requirements: For the completion of this assignment, each student is required to...

1) ...get inspired: observe, study, watch people - study their motions closely...

2) ...present weekly motion tests on tape & actively participate during critiques.

3) ...submit a final, fully rendered 8 - 15 second animation that convincingly demonstrates
a sense of personality. The animation has to be handed in as an uncompressed Quicktime movie on DVD.
